We have improved the design of the FS Elliott PAP and Polaris compressor rear oil seal design to allow users of the compressor to exchange the rear oil seal without the need to remove the drive coupling and in some cases the driver (electric motor or steam turbine) the split seal we use enables you to remove the old plastic seal assembly from the shaft with a Dremel or similar tool then roll over our split seal onto the shaft , finally placing both of the Ztechnique split design seal holder together on the shaft with a small amount of sealer across the mating surfaces and join with Loctite the o ring for the rear seal into the compressor body. All in all this modified replacement seal design should take around 2 hours, saving huge amounts of time and money compared to the previous OEM repair.
